Whether or not there is a Christmas special, Whovians can rest assured that we will be getting plenty of the thirteenth Doctor before she regenerates. It was an eventful special, but now we’re ready for more!
On New Year’s Day 2021 we got “Revolution of the Daleks,” which had Team Doctor Who trying to rescue the 13th Doctor from space prison. Doctor Who Christmas Special: 2021 or 2022?īased on what we know, it doesn’t look like the holiday special will happen in 2021, although it may take place on New Year’s Day 2022, a day the holiday specials have aired in the past. Whether or not one of those will be a holiday special is yet to be seen.īut if I had to guess, I’d say the BBC and the franchise would not pass up a holiday special, especially if it’s Jodie Whittaker’s last turn as the Doctor. The thirteenth season, called Doctor Who: Flux, will run through the first week of December, and will be followed by three specials in 2022.
